The beginnings of Yak Hong Group started in 1998 - a small hawker stall selling chicken rice in the new estate of Woodlands. Slowly but steadily, a small family business grew with support from residents and neighbours. With hard work and a strong passion for local food, we took a leap of faith and expanded our operations, venturing into the coffeeshop, food stalls and minimarts industry.

In 2025, we proudly present our first Food Court - Food Avenue @ The Cathay, marking a significant milestone in our journey. This expansion allows us to share our love for local cuisine with a wider community and create a welcoming space for foodies to unite.

At Yak Hong, we hope to provide meaningful spaces where everybody and anybody can come together to enjoy and share our passion for local food. With family at the core of our values, we prioritize relationships and strive to make every experience meaningful.

The name Yak Hong – 益 (yì) for “Benefits” and 豐 (fēng) for “Abundance” – reflects our mission to spread goodness to all. We are committed to giving back, supporting community projects, and helping seniors and uplifting underprivileged groups.
